Navy Week San Pedro 2011 and DO NOT WEAR OPEN TOE SHOES

Tried to get on one of the ships today but since we were wearing open toe shoes, we were turned away.  To top it off, only two people were giving tours and the line was three hours long.

You can only take the shuttle to the air craft carrier from 1st and Harbor.  I would consider taking the Red Car from Harbor and 22nd Street to the Fountain and then trying to walk over.  Traffic is going to be a mess.  Also, children must be at least 8 years old.

Hope they are able to handle the large crowds, day one was a bust for sure.
