The San Pedro parade has always been a small town affaire. This year, like every year, applicants were told the due date to file for a permit to be in the parade was November 23. The Boy Scouts, who march every year, turned in their application on November 22nd but were told the parade was full. What is this the Rose Parade? While I understand that there are permits involved and that the City has set the route, do you really need to disappoint 150 young boys because of some red tape? This reminds me of how Los Angeles is run, oh wait, this is Los Angeles. For a second there, I thought we were in San Pedro.
Boo hiss to the grinch in the chamber who squashed the hopes of the towns youth.

Even though that is lame that they can't march, my daughter is going to be in it with the Dana Marching band. So I hope you don't boycott and at least come and watch the parade. I say just show up and start marching. The boys can occupy the parade. hahahaha.
